Principle decision by Rotary International on the topic of diversity:
“ Rotary values diversity and the contributions of people of all origins, regardless of age, ethnicity, race, color, ability, religion, socioeconomic status, culture, gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity.”
Objective
Rotary in District 1910 should be made ACCESSIBLE to all people according to the principle decision of Rotary International.
Members should not be selected as a priority according to these criteria; it’s not about depicting society.
BUT: equality position is important!
This means that every person should have the opportunity to participate in Rotarian life, regardless of age, ethnicity, race, skin color, skills, religion, socio-economic status, culture, gender, sexual orientation and gender identity.
Not all clubs in the district will be able to offer these possibilities, but awareness of necessary changes should be created and a framework and atmosphere for diversity should be developed.
